Watson Logistics is located in spacious, high-roof warehouses totalling 50,000 square feet at the rear of the Virginia Park industrial estate in East Bentleigh, a south-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Australia.

Established in 1998 by John Watson and Matthew Catt to redistribute parts for major components suppliers into PBR Australia, it was originally known as Watson Automotive. Today, while still specialising in automotive Logistics we now have diversified into a wide range of industries including FMCG, apparel, and industrial products.

In 2007 we have further developed our range of services by adding an International Freight Forwarding & Logistics team to create a fully functional, end to end solution for our clients.

Watson Logistics is now a totally integrated Warehousing, Distribution and Logistics company with a team of around twenty people. We have the professionalism, skills and experience to distribute our clients' products throughout Australia, and around the world.

Watson Logistics is part of a group of companies including Watson Packaging Solutions and the Gillon Group of Companies, owners of the Virginia Park estate.

Managing Director John Watson has over thirty years experience in Logistics in the automotive industry, including fifteen years at General Motors Holden Ltd as a Packaging Engineer. John is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Director Matthew Catt has in excess of fifteen years in the media in sales and marketing and ten years in business ownership and management. A Company Director of various companies in the Gillon Group, he is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and Family Business Australia.

Quality Assurance Manager Peter Pieters has been has been in Quality for over thirty years. He has advised, gained accreditation for and audited companies of all kinds, including the automotive industry.

With his focus on Continuous Improvement, he has helped a range of clients over thirty years in various industries develop and maintain their Quality systems and processes, in both his native Holland and Australia.

General Manager - International Logistics Steve Brogan has over 15 years experience in International freight forwarding & Logistics, and is tertiary qualified with a Logistics Management Degree from the University of Sydney.

Having previously worked in senior management positions with some of the world’s leading multinational Freight Forwarding and Logistics companies, he brings a wealth of knowledge to Watson Logistics and our clientele.

Operations Manager - International Logistics Marcus Di Valentino has worked in the freight forwarding industry for 10 years.

To add to his extensive experience, he will soon complete his Bachelor of Business in International Trade at the end of 2008, followed by his Bachelor of Business in Global Logistics & Transport soon after. In his spare time… Marcus loves his sports, too!
